The CHEYENNE COUNTY Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a certified or uncertified full time 911 Dispatcher.
A 911 Emergency Dispatcher is the life line for Cheyenne County Emergency responders and residents. You will handle calls dealing with medical emergencies, fires and calls for Law Enforcement. Every call is different. This full time position comes with a benefit package that includes:

Hours of work for this position will be 40 hours a week with expected overtime and the occasional 12 hour day. This position pays $13.50/hr for the first 90 days, after the 90 day probation phase, pay will increase to $14.00/hr with step increases thereafter.

Applicants must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, and holidays. Selected applicant will be required to undergo a background check and pass a drug screening before beginning employment and then be placed on random drug/alcohol screening.
21 years of age or older
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute
Must pass an interview board
