The Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for a full-time Patrol Deputy. Applicants must be able to work all shifts which include: days, nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants should be a certified peace officer in the state of Colorado and must pass an oral board, written test, psychological exam and extensive background-check. Any prior alcohol or drug convictions will be deemed a disqualification from the application process.
The Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a certified or uncertified part-time 911 Dispatcher.
A 911 Emergency Dispatcher is the life line for Cheyenne County Emergency responders and residents. You will handle calls dealing with medical emergencies, fires, and calls for Law Enforcement. Every call is different. This part time position does not come with a benefit package. Hours of work for this position will range from 8 to 24 hours a week to include a variety of shifts and duties. This position will be paid $12.00/hour.
Applicants must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, and holidays. The selected applicant will be required to undergo a background check and pass a drug screening before beginning employment, and then be placed on random drug/alcohol screening.
21 years of age or older
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute
Must pass an interview board
